Maligned, misunderstood, vilified...but what came from the 70s that wasn't? Far from the syrupy 'Riuniti On Ice' of the 70s, quality Lambrusco is making a comeback. Today's Lambruschi (plural for Lambrusco) have everything it takes to be a food-friendly pairing partner: beautifully balanced earth, fruit, and mouth-watering fizziness. |

On 12 April 2010, join Bar Bambino as we eat and drink our way through Emilia-Romagna, Lambrusco's home region. Chef Elizabeth Binder's 4-course menu starts the culinary journey with a salad inspired by specialties of Parma, Modena, and Bologna. The journey continues with house-made garganelli served with the flavors of spring, then takes a delicious turn with rabbit braised in Lambrusco, and finishes with a delightful strawberry tart that will remind you of Nonna's best baking. All courses are paired with a distinctive Lambrusco selected by in-house Lambrusco aficionado, Becky Pezzullo. Click here to view the full menu. |
