Love, Food, And The Art Of Seduction
Valentine's Day At Bar Bambino

Monday, 14 February 2011

Indulge in love this Valentine's Day with a menu sure to seduce your palate. Executive Chef Elizabeth Binder has lovingly assembled a 5-course feast for the senses inspired by Venetian adventurer, author, and famed lothario, Giacomo Casanova, and Sándor Márai's florid and passionate novel, Casanova in Bolzano.

Our menu d'innamorati ("menu of love") starts in Venice, the birthplace of Casanova, then travels further north to the province of Bolzano, in the mountainous region of Alto Adige for inspiration. Highlights from Chef Binder's menu include a crudo di manzo with Wagyu beef; house-made ravioli filled with lobster, mascarpone, and leek; and stuffed guinea fowl sauced with a reduction of Tropinovec, a Slovenian grape spirit. Pastry Chef Alyce Shields has created more of her signature savory-sweet creations to the finish the meal. Each course is offered with an inspired wine pairing featuring exceptional selections from our wine list.

The complete menu is viewable here.
